The intense summer heat has passed. Tomatoes are lovingly processed in jars and carefully placed in the pantry, awaiting our future meals. Beef and Pork are processed, and fill the freezer. Attention is now turned to Fall growing.
With Spaghetti and other Squashes on ground level, Field corn and Sunflowers tower towards Heaven. New Kale, Beet, Carrot, Lettuce and Swiss Chard crops are sown. Compost, sand and mulch are shoveled through out the Garden to encourage explosive microbial growth, to allow Nature to create the ideal soil environment for plants.
We thank God for His Gifts of Providence: Sunshine, Water, Air, and all needed matter so that growth can occur. We LOVE how God grows us while we nurture the Farm, the Soil, the Plants, the Chickens, the Goats and our dear Farm Family.
Reflecting on the Farm Mission of Sharing the Gifts of Providence to Nurture Families, Embrace American Freedom, Promote Vibrant Health, and Using Sustainable and Regenerative Farming practices, we admit that we are successfully accomplishing these things. Of course there are lots of ups and downs, but overall, everything IS working out! With Family, Friends and Farm, WE ARE “ALL IN!”
